Spring 2011

Seven Lakes HS advances on Dallas's strong pitching performance.

After defeating Milby HS in the first round of the 5A playoffs, the Spartans faced District 17 champion Cy Creek for a berth in the Regional Quarterfinals. The Spartans lost the first game 13-9 and won the second game 7-4. Coach Chad Payne called on Dallas Manaker to be the starting pitcher in the deciding third game. Dallas delivered a clutch performance, getting the win by going 5 1/3 innings and giving up only 2 runs. Coach Payne described Dallas's performance in Spartans 7-5 victory of the elimination game as a "huge effort." This victory has propelled the Spartans to their farthest advance in the State playoffs in school history.

Seven Lakes finished their season, falling to Memorial HS in two games.

Dallas pitched the last inning for Seven Lakes's season, retiring all three batters he faced in order on three infield plays.
